With over 20 years of marriage and a strong foundation in faith, my husband and I strive to glorify God in everything we do. Before launching Rustic Sol, I dedicated six years to homeschooling our son. However, when he transitioned to traditional schooling in 10th grade, I found myself at a crossroads, unsure of what the future held. Having previously left my career as a massage therapist to homeschool, I was searching for a new path.

Fate intervened when a friend I met at my son's soccer gym introduced me to the world of laser cutting and engraving. Intrigued, I discussed it with my husband, and he began researching the possibilities. Soon enough, a large and unfamiliar machine arrived at our doorstep. Initially apprehensive, I gradually overcame my fears and delved into learning the intricacies of the equipment and software, which proved to be a rewarding yet challenging journey.

As our understanding grew, the business flourished, until the unexpected arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted our plans. We sold our house, and for nearly a year, my trusty machine remained in storage. However, after finding a new home and closing the deal, we wasted no time and secured a deposit on a new shop space. Today, we are blessed to run a small, family-operated business where each member contributes their unique talents. While I focus on design, my son also assists, and my husband diligently handles the laborious tasks required to prepare items for laser engraving.
